I respect and admire your meeting with the President. As a North of The Border fan, I often think the US takes for granted the great power and respect nations have for your leaders. If you disagree with them, fine, but both sides have a right and should be respected for that....I hope that football fans see that for what it is.

As an American, I am very proud that you as an organization and individuals, Mack Strong and Matt Hasselbeck, chose to treat the President of the United States with respect and class! It is truly a shame that anyone would express an opinion that would be negative towards the organization or these fine citizen/athletes. 
 
Just as I would not look down upon, condemn or say anything hurtful towards these individuals should they have chosen NOT to meet the President, I would like to think that the “tolerant” out there should do likewise and simply stay quiet. 
 
It seems that Seattle sports fans and political fans have something in common, they “BOO” at some of the most ridiculous and disrespectful times – witness this incident with Mr. Strong and Mr. Hasselbeck and yesterday’s game. Who boo’s when your team is winning on opening day? I reckon it is only the selfish and ignorant. 
 
Again, thank you for showing CLASS and Go Seahawks!!!! Have a great year!!!!

I'm a home town fan of the Seahawks even though I'm currently in Florida and just want to offer my support to you, Matt, for doing whatever the heck you want to do, as long as you're not hurting anyone. I'm embarrassed by the behavior of some of the so-called "fans" out there who are harassing you for meeting with the President. It really shows what simpletons they are. Like water off a duck's back, don't let it get you down. We support you!
