Been a fan for a long time now...heck of a season last year...came pretty close with all the injuries our team faced. I hope to see my first Hawks game Sept 9th...and first pro football game ever. I am pretty darn excited :) 
 
Anyway just wanted to say good luck this season. I really have my eye on Jordan Kent...dang this guy can fly...I hope he can earn some playing time this year. 
 
BTW...ever been to Alaska?

I am a huge fan of yours & the Seahawks. I am also a member of the Soldiers' Angels organization & my adopted "HERO" is from the great state of Washington & a HUGE Seahawk fan. His birthday is coming up the 20th of this month & I would love to send him something from you or the team to make it special. He has been deployed since April 2003 so this will be his 5th birthday in the sandbox. He is the longest consecutive deployed soldier of this war. I had the honor of IMing with him earlier today & he told me a story about you that brought tears to my eyes. The following is what he had to say.... 
"the longest consecutive deployed soldier was never more proud then when the Seahawks had a winning season. I never left the Seahawks even in the bad times,I stayed up until 4 AM to see them play! we took a barrage of mortar but there was no way I was missing that game,shook the place but I was watching!!! he threw a pass and I forget who caught it but when they got hit the round slammed in it was the first time I could feel TV!!  
If there is anyway I could get you or someone to send me some Seahawk things by the 10th of June so I can get it sent to him before his birthday it would be greatly appreciated!!

I've known Matt since BC days and a lot of other athletes as well...As Mother's Day passed and the ad w/ Tim appeared for Father's day, I starting reflecting on heroes, family, mentors, friends, etc. It's been said, but truly Matt is one of the good guys and there are very few. 
 
You are lucky to have him up in Seattle. Enjoy him while you can.
