Matt et al Seahawks,
You and the rest of the team did the best you could against the Bears. Now is the time for reflection and healing. Do not let this season, or today’s loss in the playoffs get you down. Any negativity will only harm your chances for a great '07 season.
I ask that you take the story of Alexis Serna and Austan Pierce to heart. Alexis Serna is the Place Kicker for the OSU Beavers. In the opening round of the 2004 season he missed three extra points that led to the team’s loss against LSU. Austan Pierce wrote letters of encouragement to Alexis, while undergoing chemotherapy in Spokane. Austan's words led Alexis to become a Lou Groza award winner.
I am a solid member of the 12th man that believes you and the rest of Hawks can be a great team! Believe and you will achieve!
Best Regards,
Mark Nicholson

Matt, heartbreaker today but you all should be proud of the way you played. I went to a Jeff Trickey QBcamp while I was back home in Virginia last year and Jeff told my dad about your camp in Seattle. I want to come over to your camp this year as well too. Looking forward to getting the dates so I cn sign up.

Oh man, what a game! You and the rest of the Hawks guys played a great game but unfortunalty it didn't work out for us and you guys almost had it. You guys gave the Bears a run for their money and showed them they aren't that hard to beat, however this game wasn't our time to win. You guys enjoy your off-season and spend time with your family & friends and I look forward to next season.

Thank you for showing Chicago that the Seahawks are a team to be reckoned with...you officially erased everyone's memory of October 1st.
Of course I am bummed you lost, but it was a great game (no consolation, I know). Enjoy the off-season with your family and get yourself 100% healthy. We'll be here waiting when training camp starts.
Your fans love you and are proud of the fight you gave the Bears today. Big hugs from Chicago.

Matt I hope you get this. I know you haven't been that healthy this year so I hope that this doesn't come as rude. It just doesn't seem like you have that killer instinct you used to have like when plays collapse you give up instead of at least trying to run for some yards. Or throwing out of bounds instead of delivering it close to where the reciever can make a play. This isn't you. I know the defense is shaky at times so it would seem like you would know that every play is that much more imperative, 'cause there are times when they are picking up the slack and youn ca't expect them too when we have a killer reciever core a running back who really has saved us with crucial first down, and then there comes a play were it seems like you don't care as you once did that defiets the purpose of all that hard work. Seattle wants the Old killer confident we can beat anybody tye Matt back.
