The first few days of my injury consisted of sitting on a training table and icing my knee for what seemed like all day long. Very boring. I'm currently at Day 20 of my re-hab assignment and the last 2 weeks have been anything but boring. Re-hab has been both aggressive and intense and seems to be going well. Our medical staff has thrown the kitchen sink at this knee and it really is feeling like its on the mend. I thought about listing all the different types of treatments I've received over the last 20 days but I'm not sure I can list them all and I KNOW I can't spell them!
Yesterday, I was able to return to practice (if you can call it that). I threw 8 Red Zone 7-on-7 reps on our scout team going against our 1st team defense. It was great to be back out there with the team.. hopefully a sign of things to come. I also threw one TD pass and 3 INTs...hopefully a sign of things to come this weekend for our defense!
Before practice today we took our annual team photo. This is not as simple as it sounds b/c not only do you have to line up 61 players who sometimes act their age, we also include the entire organization in this photo. We completed the whole task in less than 15 minutes. Congrats once again to team photographer Corky Trewin.
I'd love to write more but its time for my kids to go to bed. Thanks for checking in... big game this weekend!
Go Hawks! Matt.
